About FACELIFT
The work aims to examine the relationship between architecture and the threshold of human perception. The space becomes an three-dimensional canvas which is covered by the ephemeral (video) skin.
Putting the projection into a historical space, can be seen as a metaphor for old and new, static and dynamic etc. The spontaneous examination with the space is always an experiment and presents its essential quality and character while the performance of the projected light.
Basically it's a site-specific light installation which integrates the atmosphere and the historic architecture of Venice. The global language of light, sound and space is comprehensible for everyone, independent of age, knowledge or cultural background. It is all about the sensual experience and the dialog with the immersive space.
